Rio Nave Shipyard has modern equipment and production processes to build vessels of any type up to 80,000 deadweight tons, able to process 48,000 tons of steel per year.

Rio Nave Serviços Navais Ltda. is a shipyard for marine construction and repairing with a processing capacity of 48.000 tons of steel per year. The shipyard currently has 1.500 employees and its growth target is to reach 3.000 workers by 2014. Rio Nave has planned an investment of 30 million dollars in new equipment and new technology, which is already being implemented and of that 5 million dollars have already been invested by the end of 2012..

The Shipyard Rio Nave has invested in information technology, with the purchase of new software and equipment of what is the most modern on the market. The goal is to improve the management, streamlining the production process and reducing costs.

Among the facilities that the Shipyard Rio Nave has, there are two slipways, a longitudinal slipway: 240 meters long and 36 meters wide and a lateral slipway: 150 meters long and 34 meters wide. The slipways have six cranes on rails, two of them 20 and the other 40 tons.

The Shipyard Rio Nave has an outfitting quay composed of a pier of 182.5 meters, one of 182 meters, one of 65 meters and alast one with 112 meters that has five 20-ton cranes.
