Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries has a rich history in it’s the field of shipbuilding.
In 1992 construction of the Samho shipyard began, raising hopes for the development of the local community. In 2001 the company attracted the shipbuilding industry’s attention as it underwent a model case of restructuring, returning to normal operations and getting back into the black in a surprisingly short period of time. In May of 2002 the company became a member of the Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, the world-leading shipbuilding/oceanic business group.
